Before working with Puntafy, Elle Wines had basic email functionality in place, but there was no strategic structure behind it. They regularly collected email addresses, yet lacked automated flows that could nurture leads, recover potential lost sales, or turn one-time buyers into repeat customers.

In an ecommerce environment where acquisition costs continue to rise, this meant Elle Wines was missing some of the most impactful levers for predictable, sustainable growth.

Instead of treating email as an afterthought, Puntafy approached the project by building a lifecycle-driven email strategy designed around key moments in the customer journey.

Our goal was to ensure that every email — whether automated or campaign-based — served a clear business purpose, from welcoming new subscribers to re-engaging valuable customers who hadn’t purchased in a while.

This strategy was rooted in the belief that email should work as an integrated revenue channel, not just a broadcast tool.

To realise this vision, we architected and delivered a suite of automated flows that aligned perfectly with Elle Wines’ brand, audience and commercial objectives.

We began with welcome sequences that introduced new subscribers to the ethos and products of Elle Wines, establishing brand value immediately and setting the tone for future engagement.

We then implemented abandoned cart and browse abandonment flows to recover lost sales opportunities — capturing revenue that would otherwise have disappeared.

Post-purchase flows were integrated to reinforce positive buying behaviour, express gratitude, offer additional product education, and subtly encourage second purchases, building long-term loyalty.

All email flows were built with segmentation in mind, enabling highly personalised messaging based on customer behaviour, preferences and purchase history.

Since implementation, email revenue contributed significantly to overall sales, with clear feedback in purchase frequency and audience engagement metrics.
